Plaitoe’s Employee Portal

Initially, we discussed Plaitoe’s administrative portal, otherwise known as the control center. In part two of a three part series, we will discuss Plaitoe’s employee portal. The employee portal serves a very important role within Plaitoe’s software.

At the onset, and like you probably imagine, the employee portal provides access to your employees. Many of you have inquired about what type of access and what does the employee portal do? Well, those are both great questions. In fact, Plaitoe’s employee portal is essentially a command center for employees. What do I mean by that? Well, your employees have a wide variety of tools they can use. For starters, the employee portal comes equipped with a ‘dashboard’. Here, employees can send and see new messages from their co-workers or supervisor. Additionally,  if the organization has posted any bulletins those are readily available on the dashboard. P.S., these bulletin messages can require an employee to acknowledge receipt and understanding. Pending forms requiring signature? You bet. Lastly, if there are any pending tasks as well as any self-service requests.

Furthermore, employees have a self-service feature where they can request, really, anything they need. How about requesting a day off or vacation? Sure, Plaitoe’s employee portal has a leave management function that allows employees to request time-off in accordance to your defined leave policies and accruals. In fact, your company can even define employee schedules.

If you read our blog about posts, we recently published one about grievances, which you know we feel that is a positive tool for growth for any organization. It can also be growth for an employee specifically, department as well as a manager. Regardless, the ability to feel that a grievance can be filed without retaliation is important. Sometimes that comes in the form of confidential grievances. Therefore, Plaitoe’s grievance system encompasses all of that.

FROM A MANAGER OR SUPERVISOR PERSPECTIVE

Managers have some additional, and very useful, tools that slightly differ with their managerial or supervisory role. These tools were designed to assist in developing, managing and supervising staff. For example, instead of having an e-mail exchange back and forth between staff, you can simply create a task through the dashboard and follow or track it through completion. Moreover, managers are able to write supervision notes, and even write up employees through their employee login.

Similar to the employee, a manager can approve or deny time-off requests submitted by their team. How about setting up an employee, or department, schedule? Of course. Since most of our customers utilize schedules we found it equally as important to institute this feature. Furthermore, supervisors, managers and HR staff can see grievances through resolution.

While we could write for days about the endless features and benefits of Plaitoe’s employee portal, we urge you to call us for a demo. 302-601-1159
